【聖蹟桜ヶ丘】mililieの野鳥観察記vol.8

今回は、東京都内でも有名な探鳥地、聖蹟桜ヶ丘の多摩川河川に行ってきました。

最初に正直に言います。

もう、聖蹟桜ヶ丘は自然豊かな探鳥地ではありませんでした。
河川敷は重機が入り込み、キジの住んでいた草むらは更地になり、高層マンションの建設も始まっていたり。
自然の残る、野鳥たちの楽園はすっかりなりを潜めてしまっていました。
とても悲しい光景でした。

その様子を、写真に撮ってこようとも思ったのですが
そのマンションにこれから住む方もいるでしょうし、あまり悪意が出るような記事にはしたくなかったので
今回は、文字だけのレポートにしておきます。

しかし、全国でこういった開発により、野鳥の生息地が大きく減っています。
河川敷の工事は、なんのために行っているのかは分かりませんでしたが
高層マンション建設に伴い、周辺環境の整備など、自然を壊してまですることなのか疑問です。

日本から、また一つ素晴らしい野鳥観察スポットがなくなると思うと残念でなりません。

東京都多摩市の北部のエリア。
京王線聖蹟桜ヶ丘駅周辺の通称。
聖蹟桜ヶ丘という地名はない。
オオタカやチョウゲンボウなどの猛禽類、キジやシギ類など
四季折々の野鳥が観察できるエリアとして有名

服装

服装は、市街地ということで特に気を遣うことなく行ってきました。
桜も満開になり、暖かくなってきた東京ですが、ここ数日は少しだけ肌寒い陽気。

ですので、一枚防寒用に薄手のカーディガンをバッグに忍ばせていきました！

チョウゲンボウがいたのは嬉しい知らせでした。
一日中歩き回っていましたが、猛禽類はこのチョウゲンボウとトビしか目撃できませんでした。
オオタカやミサゴやノスリなんかも見かけるスポットなのですが、やはり近寄れない環境なんですよね。

この子は、多分上流の中洲に馴染んでいるんだと思います。
上流の方では、まだ自然は残っているので、うまく適応してもらいたいなと思います。
餌のネズミや昆虫が生きていたら大丈夫かもですね！

この辺りは、大きな中洲がいくつかあり、川の合流もあったりと土や泥の溜まるエリアです。
ですので、川辺の虫も多く、水辺の野鳥たちはよく餌を探している様子が見れます。
また、皮に虫が流れていることも多く、そんな昆虫を狙っていたりもします。

この日も、セグロセキレイやハクセキレイが沢山いました。
キセキレイの姿は見かけなかったので、暖かくなって上流の方へ移動したのかもしれません。

タヒバリも沢山いました。
河川敷ということで、視界が悪かったので、声ばかり聞こえていましたが
なんとか、表に出てきている子を見つけてパシャリ！

ハクセキレイやセグロセキレイよりも人目につかない場所で餌を食べてました！

この子たちは飛んでいる姿しか確認できませんでした。
最初に書いたように、重機が河川敷に入って作業していたので、野鳥の姿はほとんど確認できていません。
しかし、トビが飛んできて、驚いて逃げる野鳥を私がパシパシ撮るという
鳶との連携プレーで、何種かこうやって確認できています（笑）

ツバメは沢山飛んでいました！
聖蹟桜ヶ丘には、実はこの燕を見に行ったのです。
ツバメが毎年多く飛び交うことでも有名なエリアです。

この日は、ツバメと岩燕を確認できました。

東京都では絶滅危惧１類、全国でも準絶滅危惧種に入っているハマシギ。
二匹飛んでました！！

そしてこの子が、私の観察を手伝ってくれたトビちゃんです。
うーん。なんだかボロボロ。。。

羽が破れて綺麗ではありませんでしたね。

都会のトンビは、カラスなどにやられやすいというのもあります。
また、十分な栄養を得ていないという可能性もありますよね。

そんなトビも、東京都では絶滅危惧１類！！
絶滅危惧１類って、もう絶滅の一歩手前ってことですからね！

どこにでもいるように感じるトビちゃんですが、東京都では数を大きく減らしているのね。。。

まとめ

ということで、もっと葦原に住むキジ・ヒバリ・ホオジロなどや、カモ類やサギ類なんか
いろいろな野鳥を観察できるかなと思って出かけたのですが、全く確認できず。

河川敷が更地になってしまってるので、その辺りの野鳥はいなくなっていましたね。
どこに行ったんだろう？？

サギなんかも、チラッとダイサギなんかがいましたが、川の中にも重機が入っていたので
落ち着いて食事できる様子ではなかったみたいです。

このように、野生の残る探鳥地が失われるのは辛いですね。

特に、都会の探鳥地は貴重な存在。
ただでさえ、東京都は野鳥が減っているので、もっと環境保全を考えていただきたいと思います。
